Description

The aim of the programme is to allow access to Technical/Trade related Programmes on a full-time basis. This programme will be administered by the Technical Learning Academy (TLA) as part of their drive to uplift Technical Skills within the organisation and the community. This programme is supported by the Union

Responsibilities

• Perform technical maintenance and repair tasks under the guidance of qualified artisans or supervisors
• Assist in assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining machinery, equipment, and production systems
• Carry out routine inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, or technical faults
• Learn and apply safety procedures in accordance with Volkswagen’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards
• Use and maintain tools, instruments, and diagnostic equipment correctly
• Maintain accurate training and work records, including logbooks and progress reports
• Participate in skills assessments, trade tests, and classroom activities as part of the qualification process
• Support qualified artisans and technicians during production and maintenance activities
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic, punctuality, teamwork, and commitment to learning

Qualifications

• Have Matric with a pass in core Mathematics and Physical Science
• Maths Literacy will not be considered
• N3 (4 subjects including core Mathematics and Physical Science) or higher
